A Lighthouse - Touching Lives and Shaping Futures

Christian salvation is the acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as one's personal Savior and acceptance that Jesus Christ gave up his mortal life for one's individual sins in the belief of an eternal resurrection.

Salvation means delivered from a fate that, without intervention by another party, would result in injury or death.  It means to be preserved.  God's true salvation is being delivered from death.

Salvation is a FREE gift from God.  There is absolutely nothing that a Christian can do to merit or earn it.  Salvation is by God's grace.  It is completely unmerited pardon of one's sin.  Unless God intervenes to apply the blood of Jesus Christ to cover the repentant sinner's past, there can be no salvation.

Ephesians 1:5, 7 say's, "Jesus Christ.. in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."  God gives grace - forgiveness- through Christ's blood.

You are saved through acceptance in this free gift from God and through faith in the gift of Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 2:8-9 says: "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Maps are a wonderful thing - when used properly!  The New Testament of the Bible is our "map" to salvation, to our heavenly home (Heb:11:13-16).  Romans provides us an example of the Gospel's Road Map to Salvation and Freedom from Sin

Jesus died for your sins, and that is His free gift to you.  But for you to be saved, you have to accept or receive the gift.
